Just finished A Game of Thrones . Great book! Although I want to jump into A Clash of Kings, but Under the Dome has been waiting patiently in the corner.
Just finished my re-read of Game of Thrones and am going to try to read The Anubis Gates next, if I can behave myself and not dive right in to re-reading Clash of Kings.
well, I'm re-reading Game of Thrones - slowly. Because of NaNoWriMo. Reading should pick up now that I've hit 50K and can relax a bit.
I am reading George R R Martin's A Game of Thrones , which is the first of the Song of Ice and Fire series. It definitely has "can't put down" characteristics. The chapters are short, which means you still have gas in the tank for another one. Although the story is told in fairly linear ...

Since I've finished my "challenge" for the year, I'm feeling less stressed about my reading choices. I'm rereading A Game of Thrones now, I've been following the making of the pilot (they're finally filming...like as I'm typing this!) and it's made me want to reread them. Of course, I'l ...
Decided to tackle The Song of Ice and Fire series. Just picked up A Game of Thrones today.

As for George R.R. Martin..I fell in love with his saga "A Song of Ice and Fire" after picking up the first novel in it, "A Game of Thrones ." It's a lot darker and far more gritty than say..Gaiman, but completely enthralling. I was totally drawn into all of the books..and I'm eagerly awaiting ...

Hi Laura, I was interested to see that you called Game of Thrones a really good fantasy as I am planning on reading it for next years 1010 Challenge.
It´s October and I´m starting right now.
My book #1 is Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin. This book is a great fantasy book though it´s long, over 700 pages. I will definitely read the following books in the series.
Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin read October 2nd. A very good fantasy book. First book in the series and I´m definitely going to read the following books.

I just started A Game of Thrones . This is my second attempt to get into the series and George R. R. Martin. It ought to be prefect for me - fantasy, long books, and a long(ish) series. But I just can't seem to get into it. The first part is just as extraordinarily boring as I remember it, ...
I caved & started A Game of Thrones by George R R Martin... I was gonna wait until the whole series is finished, but I couldn't decide what to read & there have been discussions (on annother forum I visit) about a TV series based on the books & I wanted to read the books before I watch the TV ...

George R. R. Martin (GRRM) is the author of the Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones is the first). They're an extremely good fantasy series but he takes a tremendously long time between books. We are currently awaiting the 5th installment, A Dance with Dragons, the 4th installment ...

I finished A Game of Thrones yesterday, and even though I was home sick, I had to make a trip to Borders to get A Clash of Kings. I'm already on about page 200 and I haven't even entered it into LT yet! This is shaping up to be a great series - it's very hard to put down.
