As far as a graphic novels go, this one is good - it is likely to appeal to its target audience (teen boys/reluctant readers). As is the case of most graphics, the original Stormbreaker story has been condensed to fit into a graphic novel but it more or less follows the novel. If you don't mind a few good parts being left out, then this is a good book. ( )it was great . it was one of my personal favorites. Book one in the Alex Rider series (the graphic novel). Alex is an ordinary 14 year old boy, until his uncle is killed and Alex finds out that his uncle was a spy for the British government. Alex is asked to continue the same investigation that resulted in Ian Rider's death and gets a crash course in military techniques, as well as some pretty cool gadgets. Alex Rider's edge-of-your seat adventures translate very well to the graphic novel format. Recommended for action fans. Cute if slightly predictable to an adult reader. A fun read anyhow! The adaptation was alright. I would have been more impressed if this was an original story told in graphic novel format as opposed to an adaptation. That would have been more creative. no reviews | add a review
