Massimo is a total jerkbag (since when do boys get caught up on their past girlfriends?) and Dave the Laugh has gone gallivanting off with some other girl. And then - just to make things even more ridiculous - Massimo gets over his pining girl AND Robbie returns. Georgia's reaction is perfectly normal: she runs away, whilst blaming it on Sven's furry trousers. Sometimes avoidance is totally the best tactic when it comes to boys, so I fully support Georgia's slightly dramatic reaction. Now the question becomes who will come chasing after her? ( ) "Startled by His Furry Shorts" is book 7. The school is turned upside down by a rousing performance of "Macbeth", with the Foxwood Lads helping out with lights and props and such. Of course Dave the Laugh (oo-er) causes much hilariosity. Masimo's ex-girlfriend visits to tell him she is getting married, so now he feels free to date Georgia. He tells her this just as Robbie shows up, back from Kiwi-a-gogo-land. Of course. Georgia brilliantly evades the situation by running off to catch a nonexistent train. Excellent diversion! This is a very reliable series. I always enjoy reading about Georgia and her mates. I like how the books are written journal style and usually take place over a pretty short period of time (a few weeks usually). Rennison maintains an amazing consistency in the way Georgia is protrayed and in the way she and her friends speak. These books are a lot of fun. no reviews | add a review
