The wordless book is about the adventures of two monkeys and the journey that a yellow umbrella takes them on throughout various locations. The umbrella was dropped at the zoo into the monkey cage by a little girl and then the monkeys fly and sail through the city, over the ocean, and down the river. The book is illustrated in shades of yellow and black and white.

There is good movement of the story line and it is a nice story to encourage children to practice and think of travel words and words about journeys and various locations - like city, jungle, etc. The story also makes good use of action and a lot of supporting animals along the journey that children can embellish as part of their story. The illustrations are dated and may be an obstacle for some readers. ( )
