Beautiful hand-drawn illustrations provide key perspectives for understanding astronomy intuitively, together with substantial knowledge from an astronomer with a deep passion for his field and impressive drawing skills. High quality art and science together in one book. ( )

Oh,my. If you have any interest in astronomy - get this booklet. Yes, booklet, although it is quite oversized in both width and height - just like a road atlas.

The booklet will show you how to find things in the sky - and the overall size and dimension of the universe.

But - that short description doesn't do this book justice. What will cause you to *gasp* is its technical illustrations. If they were done by computer, you would appreciate them. But they are all done by hand, and you realize you are reading a labor of love by someone skilled in draftsmanship and graphical presentation of information.

This is a field guide. This is a gentle introduction to observational astronomy.
This is a work of art.

Just go and purchase the thing, and see what I mean.
