I dont know which of the 2 encampments are worse in this novel. One side you have the controlled society run by a religious fanatic and the other side you basically have organized chaos, everything-goes, post apocalyptic Sodom and Gomorrah. Some of the best scenes or the series are in this book, especially the "mission" to find the cure in an abandoned base, that part alone is worth the price! ( )
