Texas Ranger, Andy Pickard pursues Donley Bannister who is wanted for murder. However, what seemed like a simple and straight forward case soon becomes complicated when Donley saves Andy's life but escapes custody again. Now Andy must follow Donley's wife hoping she will lead him to his quarry who it now is evident is also a major horse thief. This novel is a real page turner, one I could not put down until I reached the last page. ( )

I truly enjoyed this Western tale of a young Texas Ranger trailing a horse thief who is wanted for murder and the thief's wife who's determined to catch up with him. They meet many characters, some good and some bad, along the way. ( )
