Missing wife, husband the natural suspect, usual story, Not quite. D, James Eldon writes a great mystery filled with interesting characters, The chapters alternate between the main characters, giving you some insight into their thinking. There are many twists and turns and keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next. This book was a a free give away, and I was happy that it was so good. ( )

Good story about a missing woman. We follow the police on their search for the missing woman, get to know her husband, and are given glimpses of her situation.
I really liked the story, it keeps you reading because you want to know what is going to happen. The story begins with different plot-lines that seem unrelated, but they come together nicely and in the end form a coherent whole. The characters are built up nicely and you really get the feeling that you know these people, they are very lifelike.
Does contain graphic descriptions of sex and some strong language, so not a book for people who find this unpleasant. ( )

I'm on the fence about this book. It's not the type of book I usually read, so the fact that it kept me engaged and not wanting to put it down definitely gives it points. I felt like there were too many characters and subplots to keep straight, however, and the ending was disappointing. The chapters with the dominatrixes seemed out of place; it seemed like they were just added for filler. The book could have used another round of editing; it was choppy and didn't flow properly throughout the book, enough so that it was annoying and not just a few ignorable errors.
I do recommend this book and would like to read more by this author. ( )

I received this book through Member Giveaways and felt it necessary and fair to write a review for it. I felt that it had a good plot but was not fleshed out. Many parts were add-ons rather than being interwoven into the story. Sex scenes, a detective's homosexuality, the main character's reluctance to tell anybody that his wife was missing were all unanswered questions. This kidnapping mystery story was fast paced, confusing at times because of so many quickly introduced characters and so much jumping around. I also had a hard time letting the dozens of spelling mistakes go. I was reading the EPUB version. Then/than, losing/loosing, their/there/they're. Argh! ( )

I received this books as a LibraryThing giveaway and was very excited to start reading it, however I soon realised that it wasn't my style of book. I felt that there were a lot of different characters introduced quickly which I find confusing and the chapters seemed to jump around from one thing to another and I got lost very quickly. I thought that the writing style itself was good within each chapter, but didn't feel that the chapters flowed together. It may have got better as it went on but I gave up after a little bit as I just couldn't follow what was happening. ( )

" ... it’s the book’s behind-the-scenes approach that makes for a great read."
