children's graphic novel. Not the best children's graphic I've read, but if kids like it (and they probably would) I'm for it. The cartoonish artwork is appealing, the plot is decent, the text is relatively low reading-level. ( )

I needed to read a graphic novel for a Bingo challenge at our local library and I chose this one -- it was a fun read!
In this story the local librarians have formed the League of Librarians and that turns out to be a bad thing. So the Lunch Lady and a few kids from the school must come to the rescue. All very exciting! I can see how Grades 3-5 would eat this up :) ( )

As a librarian, I had to pull this book of the shelf to read it. The series centers around the super hero, Lunch Lady, and her school age friends as they fight crime within the school. In the second book of the series, the librarians are trying to do away with video games. This was a very quick read but I can understand the interest shown by my students. They had the opportunity a couple of years ago to meet the author.

There’s also plenty of imagination in the content, straight-forward adventure stories in a setting most kids can relate to.
