Steve the Tramp reappears after nearly a decade behind bars, and in one of Gould's rare stories of a criminal gone straight, proves to Tracy that he is a changed man in a touching fashion. Also introduced is the Mole, Littleface, B-B Eyes, Tiger Lilly and Frizzletop. Fun stories, but not the classics of the American comic strip that they're made out to be. The strip was so influential and popular for many years, though, that I approve the complete reprint books. And they are very nicely produced, with informative articles preceding the strips, and a larger format - although I'm not convinced that Gould's art demands it. ( )
