William Faulkner, The Sound and ... ... to air, fire, water, etc. You know, I had forgotten how much I like these books; I felt lukewarm about the one before this, River Secrets, and between my tepid reaction and the fact that the publisher seems to have changed cover artists (the earlier Books of Bayern have these great paintings on ... I definetly recommend C.S. Lewis's "The Chronicles of Narnia" I also recommend The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale and River Secrets by Shannon Hale. ... graceling so this ought be excellent)

Outlander - Diana Gabal ... ... But sadly, I found the mood in Enna Burning to be too dark and oppressive overall. I am glad to hear that you thought River Secrets was good. I'll get that one next. >130 chinquapin I also found that i didn't like Enna Burning as much as The Goose Girl but the third book in the series River Secrets is really good and worth a read IMHO. Frankly I am happy to read anything Shannon Hale writes but it was slightly disappointing that Enna Burning wasn't as ... ... a massive book which should take both the outward and return journey to read.
Stayed up late again last night and read River Secrets loved it as i do most of Shannon Hale's books. I'll have to actually buy it and Princess Academy as i read library copies first time around.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series and I think i can work out which language will be the focus of River Secrets although I can't guess which character will be the main one.
Phew caught up again, at least until i finish my current book Jamaica Inn I can see myself ... I finished The Goose Girl last night which was fabulous and I will have to buy Enna Burning and River Secrets before long or I will get all twitchy. I am now completely enamored with Hale's writing and am determined to read all of her books that i can get hold of.
I also started The way of ... I haven't read River Secrets, but I have read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close I haven't read Two Rivers,
