Nautical Magazine, a publication that has been around since the intersection of the boat and the printing press, or else a rather long time, is a very, very, very, very dry publication whose target audience is, I believe, UK residents who are also sailors.

That being said, I did find some interesting nuggets within its otherwise salty pages. In this volume, the pages not devoted to news were devoted to history. One article chronicled a ships passage while the author (an acquaintance of mine) was aboard. Another article chronicled the eventual fates of several WWII ships, and, when available, their crew.

While this magazine was dry as the sea is wet, I could see sailors and other nautical people finding interest in its pages. Everybody else should probably stick to more terrestrial publications. ( )
