One thing I have to say does make me uncomfortable about Elmo is his use of the third person, especially when we get into "Elmo loves you, you're Elmo's best friend" kind of territory that for me at least sorry but evokes sad kids, deprivation, abuse etc. (but maybe in such a situation Elmo's love might be needed and key, who am I to say?), but I know that's a lot of it just because as a dad I often refer to myself in the third person too and then bite my tongue. This book is unremarkable and inoffensive, ignore my nonsense. (

Elmo Loves You is about everyone loving something. The story goes through all the characters of Sesame Street and what they love and "Elmo loves You". This book is therapeutic! The book is bright and cheery and Elmo Loves You! A Little Golden Book -the Sesame Street Little Golden Books are wonderful. (
