A South African visitor to America sees campus unrest and the Black Power Movement as the greatest challenges here in 1968.
  PendleHillLibrary | Oct 29, 2019 |
Brookes. a white liberal South African visiting the U.S., wrote this pamphlet about the rebellious youth movement and the racial struggle in America in 1968. Brookes' commentary, well-meaning but paternalistic, looks not only dated but also based on misunderstanding of American racism and of the movement. Non recommended.
