FROM BACK COVER: Troubled waters! Cryptids--mythological creatures like the Loch Ness monster and Sasquatch--are Travis Wolfe's obsession, and he'll travel to the ends of the earth for proof. For cousins Marty and Grace, who have lived with Wolfe ever since Marty's parents disappeared, this means adventure--and danger! Now they're all en route to the South Pacific to track down a giant squid, but the freighter they're on seems to be haunted, and someone on board is determined to sabotage their mission. Will Marty and Grace get to the bottom of this fishy business, or end up at the bottom of the sea?

FROM AUTHOR'S WEB PAGE: Marty and Grace O’Hara’s globe-trotting parents disappeared while on assignment for a nature magazine, and now they’re living with their Uncle Wolfe, a scientist fascinated by cryptids–creatures that appear in myths but haven’t been proven to exist, such as the Loch Ness Monster. Wolfe is planning an expedition to New Zealand to track a giant squid, and he’s rented a huge (and possibly haunted) freighter for the trip. But someone on board is determined to sabotage their mission–and if Marty and Grace keeping poking their noses into things, they might end up the saboteur’s next victims!

My brother lent this to me, not a bad teen book plus I do love a book with the Kraken in it. ( )

This is the sequel to Cryptid Hunters. Wolfe, Grace, Marty and their friends are travel to New Zealand by ship to search for giant squid. Grace's grandfather, Noah Blackwood, wants to kidnap Grace and get the dinosaur eggs.

The ending appears to be setting up the story for a third book. I can't wait to read it. ( )
