I love reasing outoud to the kids with voices and sound effects, too. Right now I'm reading Molly Moon with Maggie, which is so much fun. Of course, the downfall to this is that Mags doesn't want to read by herself.
... because I wanted to enjoy her company, so I'm still reading Confessions of a Contractor as my ARC to review and reading Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism with Maggie. We'll probably pick up A Wrinkle In Time again (we haven't read any of it since May when the kids started going to ... ... it under the nom de plume of "Richard Bachman."
Still reading Confessions of a Contractor, Conquest of Gaul, and Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism. The first is quite fun, though I've had a head ache the past couple days and haven't felt like reading (I read along with the ... 2 chapters tonight of Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism with Maggie for bedtime reading, and my sides and throat are hurting from laughing so hard and the dramatic reading.
I'm telling you, this book is good enough to be read by childless adults, as well! It's gotta be on my top 5 ... ... I got Muggie Maggie by Beverly Cleary for my Maggie. She's been looking forward to it. We're in the middle of Molly Moon right now, and it's an absolute hoot! Just the right mix of orphan despair, gross and disgusting, and humorous events. I forget who suggested this series as a ... ... so she's up.
Maggie's back home, so I'm going to try to get some of the books for her read as well... Gooney Birds and Molly Moons, Nim's Island and other Lois Lowry books. AND Honestly, Katie John! for GRTB group.
Finished 40 I got a mooched book in the mail today. Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism by Georgia Byng. I was surprised at how long it is. This was a cute story. It reminded me of Harry Potter, but not so dark and involved. I think girls would like to read about a female character who has the ability to do so many things. Finished The Secret of the Rose by Sarah L. Thompson over the weekend, and Molly Moon's Incredible Book of Hypnotism today. In the non-YA realm, I also read The Eyre Affair recently, and am looking forward to reading the sequel to that , Lost in a Good Book, as well as The Hollow Kingd ...
