Crimson Dawn is a collection of children's fantasy stories about witches and fairies who lived on Casper Mountain in Wyoming. It was Written by Elizabeth "Neal" Forsling who lived on Casper Mountain beginning in the 1920's. She sometimes wrote using the name Neal Forsling instead of Elizabeth as editors in that time were less inclined to publish things written by women than they were by men.  A serious piece, "Winter On a Mountaintop" written by her appeared in the American Mercury Magazine in 1933. It is a gripping account of one woman's struggle to overcome loss and adversity and survive under trying circumstances.
