Sister is on her way to a writing conference and Mouse needs an adventure so they set off for Sister's condo on the beach in Florida. No sooner had they arrived than the resident manager, and partner in a new housing development turns up on the beach, need I say it, dead. I just love these two ladies, their family and friends. I find that the mystery is often lacking in these stories but I enjoy the ride so much I really don't care. no reviews | add a review

Mary Alice loses no time in making the acquaintance of just about everyone in sight, so watching the sun go down on the beautiful shores of the Gulf of Mexico is a welcome respite as far as Patricia Anne is concerned. . .until a dead body washes up in the waves and the victim turns out to be one of Mary Alice's newfound friends. With no witnesses t the crime except a few great blue herons, the sisters have no choice but to bypass the clueless police and follow their own instinct to find the killer. Before long they_re on a murky trail of dirty real-estate deals, giant turtle habitats, and a sea of evidence pointing to a mammoth motive for murderer.

head for the beach with Patricia's daughter, Haley, and Frances, and old
friend, got a "girl's vacation" filled with sunbathing, chick movies, and
shopping trips. They stay in Mary Alice's condo on the beach in the Florida
panhandle town of Destin, and are hoping for a break from hectic routine,
but they should know better than that, right? Sure enough, when the
resident manager of the building is found murdered and washed up on the
beach nearby, the ladies begin their amateur sleuthing to track down a
murderer, all while enjoying sun, fun, a writing convention, and a rather
traumatic hair-coloring session for Patricia Anne.
These books are such fun, and the characters so three dimensional that I
feel like I've sat across the table from these gals at bingo over the years.
Great stuff, and I'll be sorry to see this series end, but these ladies will
live on in my imagination, I expect. (
