I have enjoyed the large assortment of historical and mythological beings. I am not particularly enjoying the main protagonists however - Josh really grates on my nerves. I get that they are 15 years old, however I find the continuous lack of good judgment far fetched. Fun story otherwise. ( ) I'm giving this 4th book in the series 4 stars because the action never stopped. Michael Scott just keeps bringing it on. But, things are starting to repeat themselves and it's beginning to seem like one damn thing after another. If I don't see a bit more progress toward whatever goal we are trying to achieve here, the boredom is going to sneak in :) Loved all the twists and turns and surprises along the journey. Picking up where The Sorceress ended, the twins of legend are pulled deeper into saving the human race, doing battle with evil forces without being fully sure of everyone's motives. I did not like this as much as the other books, mostly because there were too many subplots, which were not progressed over the course of this one. This is the fourth book in Michael Scott's "Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" series. I continued to love these books. In this book, the Flamels, Sophie and Josh return to San Francisco. Scatty and Joan are still missing. Everybody is still planning for a big battle. These books are quick paced and hard to put down once you start reading them. Now that I've caught up on these books, I guess I have to wait for the next one to come out in May. At least I shouldn't have any problems coming up with something to read between now and then. no reviews | add a review
