Loading... Terraby Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner (Illustrator), Justin Gray
Terra the graphic novel is only okay. She's a cute character with a cute story, but it doesn't go any further than that. This graphic novel only establishes her as the latest in a line of DC superheroines named "Terra" who had rock-manipulating abilities. There is no real story-arc here - the first twenty pages are actually from Supergirl no. 12, so it's a littledisjointed. Basically this is a collection of vignettes of Terra saving various people from natural disasters/bad guys as a way of introducing herself to the world and establishing her as a new DC hero. One guy gets turned into a diamond and becomes a sort-of villain in a subplot that spans the graphic novel...but this guy is pretty lame and uninspired, and diamond-skin should be left to Marvel's Emma Frost. The art is solid, the guest appearances are cute, but the dialogue tries too hard to be funny, it really doesn't go anywhere, and overall, I think you're best to stick with the Power Girl comics.
