While there are certainly a few interesting nuggets in Bigger Than The Beatles, Bill Harry's look at the Liverpool music scene of the 1960's, the book is so poorly written, organized and typeset it is a massive struggle to plod through this slapdash book. It is essentially a collection of facts and stray quotes pulled in with no effort towards crafting a readable narrative. And there are long paragraphs of information lumped together which should surely be laid out in a table or list format, such as long strings of songs or concert dates and venues. Recommended only for rabid fans of the Mersey Beat era who have infinite patience. ( )
