Out in the northern U.S. wilderness, mining partner Nicky has a rough time making it 'home' to his and partner Dudley's gold-mining operation. He is confused with someone else by a strange young woman, who surprises him with her hostility, and further bemused by changes in the camp. The young woman is Dudley's fiancee, and though Nicky realises she's stolen his heart, he's not quite sure that she's not out to steal his gold instead.
