This book was based on an interview with Linda Sue Park, author of the Newbery-winning book, A Single Shard, but she has also written many other books as well. This children's book is an excellent example of a biography because it is non-fiction and focuses on the life of a person who is famous. This biography is accurate, since it is based on interviews with the author herself, while it also shares verifiable facts about Korean culture. Written for readers that are grades 3 to 8. Media: photographs.
