The particular virtue of this work is that it's the best coverage in English I've seen of the impact light forces and mines had in relation to the "big ship" war centered on Port Arthur. Whether that justifies the price of this volume (I was able to examine a copy via inter-library loan) and more dubious-than-normal editing on the part of Stratus is another question; I opted to decline.
