Deleuze and Guattari unpack the complexity of desiring production, attack the writings and conceptual prejudices of psychoanalysis, and argue that capitalism's power comes from its ability to abstract and reify the individual and the world. They ultimately conclude that resistance comes from pushing further forward with abstraction. A wonderful, difficult, and sometimes excruciating read but one that is ultimately worth the time and stress. ( )in my top 5 theory books of all time, and one of my favorite books across genre/divides, period. the style makes me smile every time i read it, and the point is one of the most important to me as well. philosophy no reviews | add a review
