This is where it all begins. Deleuze and Guattari unpack the complexity of desiring production, attack the writings and conceptual prejudices of psychoanalysis, and argue that capitalism's power comes from its ability to abstract and reify the individual and the world. They ultimately conclude that resistance comes from pushing further forward with abstraction. A wonderful, difficult, and sometimes excruciating read but one that is ultimately worth the time and stress. ( )
