There are some interesting facts in this book, though I wouldn't use it as a style guide or even remotely keep it next to my desk while I'm working in a job where proper English is necessary. There are also a lot of things in this book that shouldn't even be necessary for it to contain--perhaps taken just because the author found one misused word or phrase somewhere. Mistakes can happen, but the author doesn't seem to want to overlook those things. The author also seems to lament the fact that English is a fluid language, where changes can and do occur over time, and it takes the view of English as spoken in England as superior to the English spoken in the United States.
