(2003)Yet another continuation of Scarpetta's obsessive saga with Jean-Baptiste Chandonne, his brother and cohorts who continue to stalk her. In the end all but Chardonne are killed, so guess what, he will continue to haunt her in subsequent books. I ?can hardly wait?.

I almost didn't read the book because of the reviews but I hate to miss a book when reading a series. I'm glad I didn't listen to them. Great book...I couldn't put it down. It is a different delivery method for Patricia Cornwell but overall it kept the information portion of the book exciting. It answers a lot of questions about things that happened in the past novels. If you are not reading the series don't waste your time you won't understand anything that happened but if you are reading the series I recommend refreshing your memory on some of the earlier novels before reading blowfly. I always want more of Lucy! The plot seemed a bit contrived with Benton moving everyone around like a chess master moving pieces on a board, but I still liked it and thought it a good read. ( )

Read one third of the way through and gave up. Too much repetition and regurgitating of what went on previously, which makes the story come to a standstill. ( )
