I was kind of disappointed in the previous couples for judging the heroine based on rumor. Seriously? With everything they've been through in this series?? But otherwise this was carried out pretty well. I didn't like the cockiness and game playing the heroine started out with, but thankfully she moved past it fairly quickly. I was entertained. This series had a rocky start for me, but I've liked the last three. This was my favorite by far of this series. The characters were well developed and the plot was deeper than some recent offerings by this author. Constantine could have stayed a bit darker, he did come out as a good guy pretty early. That they both had hidden philanthropic projects was a bit of a stretch but hey it's fiction. My biggest problem, and it was a small one, was that the romance element seemed just a tad underdone. Maybe their love seemed too easy and they didn't have to fight for it very hard which made it a bit less compelling? I enjoyed the first half better than the second half, mostly because the romance kind of took a back seat in the second half. Still all in all it was pretty good. Finally. Constantine's story, and all the mysteries are resolved. I'm not going to give anything away, though. The heroine is a Duchess with a background coloured by rumour and innuendo. Everyone assumes they know her story, but you can guess early on that they are amazingly wrong. Sort of like how you know Con's cousin Elliot MUST be wrong about him as well. Watching these two people, determined to just have a casual affair, find out they are having anything but was really wonderful. Hannah fits in with all the other social misfits the Huxtables seem to collect. no reviews | add a review

I like Hannah and her Higher than Thou attitude and how she wields her power. She has basically the maximum amount of power a woman can have that isn't a princess or a queen. I love Con for her and I love that we learn what the tiff is in the family and Hannah is the healer for them among with other people. Con and Hannah are perfect for each other. ( )
