Grand for what it is, an introduction to sewing with a kit to get you started, pretty basic stuff and fairly easy, gets a lowish mark from me because it's not really my kind of thing and I have the same patterns elsewhere. Of the two sewing books I've looked at recently, I'd be more inclined to get the Sew What Bags book first, it sparked more interest and ideas in my head. If I hadn't read that one as close i'd have probably scored this one higher.

To the right person, starting into sewing, this isn't a bad book at all, just not for me and not a book I will be investing in for me. I had it for a while thinking I would do something with it but no, so it's going back. ( )
