A lot better than the first but still not as good as I was hoping. ( )

Let me just say, teenagers need to read this series. I’m going to recommend them to our adult readers too! They are geared toward teenagers and the writing and plot reflects that, but it’s still a great story and pretty exciting.
The story continues with Charlie West on the run. It got just a bit slow for a while, but boy did the action and plot come back. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series. ( )

First let me say that the writing just isn't very good. There are so many short sentences over and over again. He really needs to mix it up, make it less monotonous. The characters themselves aren't super realistic and all just kind of fall into their stereotype, while Charlie and Beth conveniently find one true love without having to actually work for it.

And then there's like, the actual plot.

Now, even allowing that this was written several years ago, Charlie's constant extreme patriotism is painful. When confronted with the bad parts of America's history (which aren't even named), he responds with listing the good things such as the Declaration of Independence and freedom and bringing freedom to other people or something. And then there are the terrorists who, of course, are Islamic.

You don't have to ignore the bad parts of history to love your country. If you ignore them, then you're just stupid and annoying. Every time he would start a monologue about America I would feel a little sick to my stomach. ( )

Charlie West is still on the run, several weeks after the last book ends. Chased by both terrorists and the police, he makes his way boak to his home town to search for the real killer of his former friend, Alex, the boy he was jailed for murdering during the time he can't remember. He knows of a place he can stay where the police won't look only to be met by his friends who know him well enough to be waiting there in order to help him.

Not quite as much violence as the last book, but definitely action-packed; a real boys' book (but, naturally, there are plenty of girls who would like it, too.) ( )

In the book "The Long Way Home" is filled with thrilling action scenes and great suspense. Charlie West (the main character) went to bed one night and soon after the next morning, he became a hunted man by not only the police, but also terrorists. Charlie is suspected of killing his best friend, and he was apart of the the terrorists gang, so now he has to people trailing behind his butt hoping to catch him, and harass him.
If you like books with action non-stop from one end of the book to other, then this book would be great for you! The book never gave away any secrets to the next parts of the book or in till the end. It made me just keep wanting to read it ever day more and more. I never wanted to put it down, and i am sure that if you read this book, you wont want to put it down either!
The reason why i chose this book was because i love books that has action in it, and full of suspense it keeps you off your chair. This book ,i think, has no bad parts or leading off topic to wear it doesn't make sense. this book too however, is the best book i have read in my life. I truly recommend you reading this book, and to see what happens to Charlie! ( )
