Still, a good and interesting premise weaving contemporary fiction with a fairy tale. This was an enjoyable story. I was glad to read something that was not part of a series. The characters were likable and well developed. I enjoyed the flow of the story. It kept me turning the pages. I did find that the story was at times too focused on things that were not important. I still found it to be a page turner in a way that I wanted to find out how she figured out the puzzles. It was not a super suspensful story but it moved nicely none-the-less. Some of the developments in the story i found to be abrubt. i found myself thinking wow that was an odd way to introduce that. I also thought that the bit about the manequin was a little odd as well. I mean what was the big deal about the mannequin anyway.....If you are looking for an all around happy ending story than this one will certainly due. I was happy with the ending and overall how the story developed. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a story that will make you think and give you a warm and fuzzy feeling in the end. Lucy lives a typical teenager's life -- track, school, friends and loving if not somewhat protective foster parents. But all that changes after a disaterous prom night when she discovers the women of her family are cursed, with only a song 'Scarborough Fair' to guide them. But unlike any of the other women in her family, she has her parents and Zach - a childhood friend who might grow into something more - to help her accomplish her seemingly impossible tasks before it is too late. At times painful and sad, this interesting story was a fast read. To be honest I didn't love it, but the characters were intriguing and the premise intresting enough -- just not my favorite. Serious pageturner--couldn't put it down. Part fairy tale, part realistic teen romance, part mystery, part suspense, and 100% recommended. no reviews | add a review

You'll have to read the book to find out. Possibly not the most realistic or PC slant to take on teen pregnancy, but it's well told and ultimately satisfying. (
