Dr. Gutierrez's book is an excellent introduction to knowing and following Christ. He begins with a clear presentation of what it means to be a follower Christ. It is easy to assume people, even people in the church, know what is means to be and how to become a child of God but that is simply not the case. Dr. Gutierrez does a great serve by presenting a simple yet complete presentation of what it means to be a child of God. The outline he developed and supporting scriptures are worth learning and memorizing for anyone who wants to share their faith. Dr. Gutierrez goes on to effectively describe what it means and how we can live our lives as children of God. He uses Walk Close, Walk Guarded, and Walk In Grace to show how we can walk with God in our everyday lives. The book concludes by encouraging his readers to continue the circle by serving and sharing with others. This is an excellent book to use with new Christians as well as those who have been children of God for years and need encouragement to walk close with God or share their faith. ( )
