Sleepy Time Blessings

NCLA Review - This is a beautifully illustrated and durable rhymed book for tots. Since many children are surrounded by stuffed animals from the get-go, they will easily relate to Bunny settling down to sleep in his crib with his own little bunny. Pictures of birds snuggling in their nest under a red-checkered blanket, and slightly chubby angel bunnies “blessing tummy, blessing toes” make bedtime inviting. The text itself is not repetitious, but the message of God’s love and care is reinforced on every page. It would be a great book for an older child to read to the baby. Children of any age can stand to be reminded: “You are safe in loving arms.” A good addition to a library’s children’s collection, or as a gift. Ages infant to toddler. Rating: 4 —DKW ( )
