Reminded me of Lush Life ~ not the story or even the writing, just the way he handled the dialogue and portrayed the D.C. neighborhoods.

56. The Night Gardener by George Pelecanos. 4 stars. HBG ER. I got this one free from Hatchette in exchange for a review. It's the first Pelecanos I've read, but it won't ... ... which would have been found by a decent proofreader (though not, as was pointed out above, by spellcheck).
Am reading The Night Gardener which is very good, though I did notice one such mistake last night. I'll have to go back and see if it can find it and report.
Also reading Obama's ... Halfway into The Night Gardener by George Pelecanos. Lots of tension, interesting characters, great writing. Yeah, I am enjoying it.
