A very straightforward tale. Humanity is being terrorised by 'rippers', shadow creatures that can 'rip' people out of existence. Staying in the light is the only defence so nightime is dangerous. A fireman has lost his wife to a ripper and is worried about his daughter who says his wife is now a ripper who talks to her. ( )
