While some of the social issues that are handled in this comic may seem to be handled in a trite manner, the underlying themes are still very relevant. It was an interesting read. ( ) An interesting collection of seven Green Lantern/Green Arrow stories. Green Lantern and Green Arrow take a journey across America with one of the big blue headed OA Green Lantern guys (in disguise) and find all sorts of trouble (from the seventies, though some of the problems sad, still apply today). They also meet up with Black Canary which always makes a story interesting. Basically these stories are all about how justice and the law aren't always aligned with what's actually right. Also, as is his role in other DC Comics, Green Arrow is used here to bring Green Lantern out of the clouds and space and down to Earth where good and evil aren't always black and white. A good bunch of stories. no reviews | add a review

This volume collects GREEN LANTERN from the early 1970s, featuring classic team-ups written by Dennis O'Neil with art by Neal Adams! In these stories, Green Lantern Hal Jordan continued his usual cosmic-spanning adventures, as he used his amazing Power Ring to police Sector 2814 against universe-threatening menaces. Meanwhile, on Earth, Oliver Queen, the archer known as Green Arrow, was confronting menaces of a different kind: racism, poverty, drugs, and other social ills! Also includes GREEN LANTERN #76-87 and 89, and stories from THE FLASH #217-219 and 226. No library descriptions found. |
