Ex-wife asked her estranged lover and father of her child who she hasn't seen since the birth of the child and who is a private investigator to come back and help catch a murder. Interesting story and good relationship coverage. ( )

When a deranged stalker attemps to murder her daughter Berry, Caroline King has no choice to call Berry’s father Dodge Hanley who she hasn’t seen for thirty years. For Dodge a street smart fighter not only puts his life at risk but his heart.

My Thoughts:

I reallly enjoy books by Sandra Brown. I know what I am going to get, a crime, a romance, and plenty sex.

This book however I didn’t enjoy as much as some of her other books. It was an OK read but I have read other books by her which are much better. I felt this book was a little bland and there wasn’t enough going on to keep me on the edge of my seat. There wasn’t enough in this book to get excited about and the cat and mouse between hero and heroine, in this case there are two of them, wasn’t very thrilling.

However Sandra Brown remains only of my favourite authors in this genre along with Karen Rose, Erica Spindler and Tami Hoag and I will read more of her books. ( )

Dodge hasn't seen Berry since the day she was born. When Starks takes a shot at Berry in Caroline's house, hitting a work associate of Berry's instead, Dodge rushes to the rescue. While Merritt County deputy sheriff Ski Nyland, who falls for the equally smitten Berry, is no slouch on the case, the relentlessly ruthless Dodge plays the most crucial role in the effort to stop the bad guy.… (more)
