76. Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder I liked this book, not sure which one I liked better, Poison, or Magic. I'm thinking Poison, but am looking foward to reading Fire Study ... ... to stop the rogue magicians from starting a war that could devastate both Sitia and Ixia.
Review
While neither Magic Study (Book 2) nor Fire Study (Book 3) live up to the extraordinariness that was her debut, Poison Study, I still have to say that Maria Snyder’s ability to ... ... cannot get too much attention, as it will be worth all the talk and badgering to just read this book already.

Currently sighing after Valek in Maria V. Snyder's Study trilogy - for all that man is a bit of heartless killer he sure is wonderful in my eyes. Also liking Po from Graceling sure he's got a bloody daft ... ... study the other day and i've also finished Fire Study in the time between then i've now got two reviews to write up.

131. David Inside Out by Lee Ba ... ... you hit the nail on the head. The romance felt pretty gratuitous and for me messed up a pretty good story. I looked at Magic Study in the library, but decided not to go on with the series. Thanks for the feedback, Tad--now I don't feel bad for not even looking at Fire Study. >2: I enjoyed Poison Study and was really looking forward to Magic Study. However, I found it only so-so. I then went on to read Fire Study, hoping the series would recover but liked it even less...in fact, about halfway thruogh I jumped to the end to make sure I had correctly guessed ... ... adult, this book has some disturbing material, such as rape and torture.

Do you have Fire Study yet? I do, but I haven't had time to reread the first two (again) so I haven't gotten to it yet. Great fantasy romance...I'm particularly fond of Valek *sigh*
I finished Blood and Chocolate and am almost done with The Silver ... I reread temptation by Nora Roberts and Magic Study by Maria Snyder which was the second in a series and quite good. Unfortunately it would be difficult to enjoy it much if you hadn't read Poison Study. I loved Posion Study and read it in about an hour because I got so sucked in by the story. I thought that Magic Study was okay, but it definately lacked the fun and romance of the first. I'm so jealous of those of you who have already received Fire Study!

When Magic Study came out last year I reread Poison and read Magic in the same day....I don't think I slept at all that night. I was highly anticipating this next book in the Poison Study series (trilogy?) and it fully lived up to my expectations. Not only did this book further develop the politics of the world, but the heroine Yelena also continued to develop and is trying to ... I reread Poison Study when Magic Study came out in HC...then I was just going to START Magic Study...and ended up staying up all night reading it. In other words, I read them both in one day. I love Valek!!
