If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would! A wonderful, clean historical with a strong and determined female lead character. I would recommend it to everyone! ( )

I actually really liked this book. The characters, the plot, the storyline and everything about it. I thought that Kate was amazing woman and loved how the author played into the plot from beginning to end. I thought that it was great and showed how a woman (or anyone for that matter) can follow there dreams and achieve greatness!

This is a very good book. Kate is someone every woman wants to be at sometime in their life. She is independent, and will not let any man dominate her. ( )

It's the 1930s and Kate Evans follows her dream to become a bush pilot in Alaska. It's an unusual profession for a woman of that day and age. Still, she pursues her dream despite prejudice and fear. Along the way she grows in her faith and finds a life better than she could have hoped.

The characters were likable and the main characters in particular came to life for me. The secondary characters, not so much. Also, the book was unevenly paced and came to a rather abrupt end. It wasn't until later that I realized this is the first in a series. I may go on to the second book, but probably not for awhile. ( )

I loved reading TOUCHING THE CLOUDS by Bonnie Leon. Her book is a very fun read that is out of the normal romantic read. I love that the book is a Christian fiction about a very adventuous young lady named Kate who is a bush pilot in the wilds of Alaska. She has a relationship with two extraordinary men- one a nice, reliable, steady co-worker and the other a guy who she delivers to in her travels, with a past that has me guessing and by the way so does Kate, who runs from her parents and her frightening past.
I enjoyed reading about the Alaskan history. I felt as if I were right there, sharing in Kate's adventures. Bonnie has become a favorite writer of mine and I feel very kin to her as a friend. Thanks for a great read and I look forward to read more of Bonnie's books in the future. Such a great escape from the mundane duties of life, and Bonnie writes about putting your trust in God who will never fail you! What a great lesson! ( )
