This installment is a disappointment from the word go. The pacing was way off and was slow more than not. The pet tie-in was not particularly enjoyable this round and Kendra and Jeff's relationship bordered on annoying. The mystery was alright, but there was not enough here to make this a book. ( )

Linda Johnston continues her series with this book, featuringKendra Ballantyne. Though Kendra is reinstated to practice law, she continues her pet-sitting career and,of course, a murder occurs. The victim is Ezra Cossner, law partner, and the only witness is a very nervous macaw,Gigi. Trouble lurks, noy only in solving this crime, but also with her lovelife.
Witty and warm-this is a series to continue reading. ( )
