Writer's Digest Handbook of Short Story Writing (1970)

This book is a gathering of a series of essays. The references in the various essays date the content notably (change the typewriter ribbon) but it still contains many valid points when writing short stories. Its organization is questionable and the essays didn't always stay on track for the selected category. However, its still a worthy read for the basics on learning this part of the craft. ( )
