Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeff Lindsay

Finally started Darkly Dreaming Dexter of the Dexter series. Liking it so far.

23. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay The book that the popular TV series Dexter is based on. I am a huge fan of the show and now the books. The novel describes Dexter, a serial killer, who follows a code to kill only those who "deserve" it. It is hard to believe that a serial ...

Glad to see your opinion on Darkly Dreaming Dexter, Wolfy. I've also been rather darkly fascinated by the TV show, and have wondered whether I should read the books, though I've felt little inclination to do so.

Having read Darkly Dreaming Dexter I decided to stay in Miami with the next in the series, Dearly Devoted Dexter. I thought that I might as well finish off the omnibus edition before moving on to pastures new.

My brother sent me Darkly Dreaming Dexter and therefore got me hooked on the show. It was fun coming from the other direction and seeing how they used the book in plotting the series. I do like LaGuerta much better in the television version!

... one of the few tv shows that I've been following so I've now got round to buying the first 3 books in an omnibus edition. With the show about to start its 4th season I've started on the first of the Dexter books, Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. I have the the omnibus edition of the opening 3 books of the series but not yet sure if I'll continue straight onto book 2 or go onto something else.

30) Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay I've read another book in the Dexter series earlier his year, Dexter in the Dark, but Darkly Dreaming Dexter was much better! I really enjoyed it. Dexter Morgan works as a blood splatter analysis for the Miami Police. Oh, and on his spare time ...

I've sort of started Darkly Dreaming Dexter on the side while waiting for some stuff today...but I'm not going to let this get out of hand. I'm really not!

How graphic was Darkly Dreaming Dexter? One of my friends and I watch the TV show, and he wants me to read the books. I like the show, but I can't watch or listen when the killings are taking place!

Darkly Dreaming Dexter was a lot of fun. I loved the strong Miami setting, and learned about things like medianoche sandwiches because of reading it. I had watched the second season of the TV show, so it did slightly 'spoil' the cliff hanger as to who was Dexter's rival, but I'd still ...

... the 'cliff hanger' ending which I presume is supposed to make you hold your breath until the next in the series. Started Darkly Dreaming Dexter, by Jeff Lindsay.

42 Darkly Dreaming Dexter ... by Jeff Lindsay A serial-killer novel with a "lovable" monster who directs his efforts on other serial killers. His adopted father dies knowing Dexter has dark tendencies and suggests how they should be channeled--starting with the murderous hospice nurse.

>20. Ha, guess what ? OH bought me Darkly Dreaming Dexter for my birthday :)

I got my Dexter books in the mail today :-D YaY! Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter from a fellow LTer and BMer :-D I have to read them fast, too, because there's a line forming for them. ;-) I also got The Angel's Game from the Big Brown Sleigh today.

10. Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeff Lindsay Wow, I have not been reading much lately. Been way too busy with Finals, assignments etc.

... believe how bad the Dexter books are. And that's not even comparing them to the TV show. Those writers are brilliant. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay and all the others, are so poorly written and imaged. And the same goes for the books they based the show Bones on.

Dexter by Design, Jeff Lindsay - I read the first book in the series and though it was violent it worked in the context and it did't really bother me, but I gave up on this one after the first chapter. It wasn't so much the gore as the weird psychological stuff that was going on. All I can say ...

Killing Floor by Lee Child. I would have loved it at 17 as much as I do know. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay is a look at the nature of good and evil from a different perspective.

... a good review. Not that I wasn't planning on it eventually, it just wasn't at the top of my list. By the way, saraslibrary, Dexter just gets better and better with each season! I just read the first chapter of Darkly Dreaming Dexter - Jeff Lindsay. It looks to be a quick read, so I hope to have it done in a day or 2.

#19. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay - I'm a big fan of Dexter on Showtime and my sister in law surprised me by offering me her copy of this over the weekend. Dexter is a blood spatter expert living in Miami who has his own urges to kill. Unlike his targets, he kills only bad ...

5. Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay I love the TV show "Dexter" so I was really excited to find this book at my library. Dexter works as a blood-spatter analyst for the Miami P.D. by day and as a serial killer by night. The trick is, he only kills people who have escaped the law in some ...
