I've been wondering about him ever since I read in "Gavin Maxwell: A Life" by Douglas Botting ( http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/8571363-gavin-maxwell )how Richard was considering dropping out of high school and Gavin Maxwell urged him to stay on get his certificate and then do what he loved.
