This is one of the best introductions to the American Revolution, in a few pages, that I have ever read. It folllows chronology and shows how the Brits bargained agains losing, and why the French finally came in. It credits the French not Washington with the winning strategy, but gives Washington due credit whild admitting his deficiencies. I would recommend it as a first read in any high school history class. Some excellent cartoons ( )
