Although said to be specially formatted for Kindle, the result is not good. This is a short, not very readable, biography of the 1st & 2nd Viscount of Falkland. The bulk of the book covers the life and public career of the second Viscount, who served in the Short Parliament and part of the Long Parliament. He left Parliament to serve King Charles as Secretary of State, a position he did not want and did not enjoy. He was killed at the Battle of Newbury leading a cavalry charge. The book's interest lies in illuminating family life, particularly from the religious side, in these turbulent times

An annoying part of the formatting is that the footnotes appear within the text itself, breaking up sentences. ( )
