Excellent discussion of the shepherding responsibilities of an elder. This is so critical to the health of a church. A definite must read for anyone in or contemplating that role. Super practical. ( )

Biblical and practical. And it's the size of the practical task that leaves me feeling daunted, but that doesn't take anything away from this helpful book. If short on time, read at least chapter 9 for its summary-effect. ( )

Good resource for demonstrating the shepherding function of elders in the church. Balanced approach with practical instruction flowing from biblical exegesis. Some of the practical aspects were weak or underdeveloped. ( )
