If you are interesting in designing, but want to make your own patterns; this is a great resource. It walks you through some basic shapes and techniques and is all about how to adapt them. This is the clearest instructions I have seen for making a block for an individual, thus allowing for customer fit patterns. The illustrations and photos are very clear and don't leave you guessing at mystery steps. ( )
