More to Ponder

With today's news being filled with government bailouts, ponzi schemes, and what is being hailed as '...the most wrenching financial crisis since the Great Depression.. (Hank Paulson)', a book filled with common sense regarding money seems like a good place to start getting back on track financially.

Tuchy Palmieri, compiler of quotations and one-line knowledge, has put together simple and honest financial information in 'Money And So Much More: The True Meaning of Wealth'. He reminds us of familiar sayings - 'A fool and his money is soon parted.' - while giving sound advice - 'The person who doesn't know where his next dollar is coming from usually doesn't know where his last dollar went.'

I enjoyed the sentiments found in his book, and took time to ponder the deeper meaning of these writings. Palmieri has also given us space throughout the pages to write down our thoughts. However, I must echo my previous reviews when I note that many of his quotations are repeated numerous times throughout the book. Additionally, repetition is found on the note pages, when we are asked over and again the same question to reflect upon our thoughts. As creative as Palmieri is, I was disappointed that he did not provide a variety of thought provoking questions to further ponder. ( )
