Mama Bird is trying to feed her 7 babies one at a time. It is in the style of the chant, "5 little monkeys jumping on the bed," "4 little monkeys" and so on. There are tons of onomatopoeias as well if using that for a lesson. Overall, this book is cute for young learners and could be used in a variety of lessons. ( )
