Work detailsThe Black Stallion's Ghost by Walter Farley (1964)
None. Wow. This one may be even worse than the rabid bat one. Or the one with the alien horse race aficionados. Either way, it's near the very bottom of Farley's oat bag. Ludicrous plot. No Henry to speak of. Weird gods. Inexplicable characters who flicker in and out. Give it a miss. ( )This was another of Farley's books that was a little too "out there" for me to enjoy it properly. All in all, I enjoyed the earlier books in the series the best. In this one, the Black Stallion is kidnapped by the owner of a beautiful mare and Alec must look for him -- in the swamps of the Everglades. Alec Ramsay's life is changed after he spends a terrifying night lost in the Florida Everglades with a deranged Frenchman who is helping him search for the runaway black stallion. no reviews | add a review
